Fees & Enrolment

Please contact the practice for enrolment criteria.

To enrol with us, you will need the following information and criteria:

When you present to reception with the enrolment papers, the Ministry of Health require us to view and hold

  • a copy of some specific personal identification for each patient we enrol – you could bring  your current passport, birth certificate.  This rule applies to all children also.
  • a form of photo identification (eg drivers licence), and a current copy of any document that gives your home address (eg rates, electricity account).
  • a copy of your residency or work permit if you are not a New Zealand citizen.

Fee Structure 

These fees are for standard 15 minute consultation for enrolled patients.

All new enrolling patients aged 18 years and over are required to have a 30 minute Health Assessment with their GP for the initial consultation ($176 under 65). With a Community Services card ( $140) and over 65 years old ($200) or with a Community Services Card ($165).

  • If you have a list of medical issues you would like to discuss with the Doctor, please book a longer appointment.
  • All referral letters that are unable to be completed during the consultation will incur an additional fee of $26.00.
  • Emails and virtual contact that constitute a consultation will incur a cost 0-5 mins, $20.00, 5 – 10 mins $38.00 and > 10 mins $57.00.  With CSC 0-5 mins $10.00, 5 – 10 mins $ 15.00 and < 10 mins $20.00.
  • Depending on the appointment type, there may be additional charges for miscellaneous items.
  • Patients have the option of seeing our Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Prescriber or Practice Nurse instead of a Doctor.  Ask our friendly Admin team about the options.

SOUTHERN CROSS PATIENTS

As from the 1st November 2024, Southern Cross members will no longer be able to have the co-payment component deducted at the time of paying for a consultation or service.  You will need to seek reimbursement directly from Southern Cross.

Myindici2.0

Having moved to a new patient management system called Indici, you can now register to use our patient portal. Download the app on your chosen device Myindici2.0. On the 4th or 5th of September emails were sent to all patients registered to Te Ngae Medical Centre that contained a unique user name and a temporary password. Please contact the practice if you require assistance or need your account reset and to be issued a new temporary password. Please note the following: Patients in the same household cannot share the same email to register for Indici We do not yet have the function available to book appointments. We are looking towards the end of the year to open this function.
