Getting in touch with Te Ngae Medical Centre

General Hours

  • Te Ngae Medical Centre is open from 8am to 5pm each work day with Doctors appointments from 8.30am to 4.45pm.

To make an appointment please phone 07 345 6627 and press 1 to talk to reception.   In order to access your patient portal you need to be enrolled by the practice who will send you a username and password to log on.

Our appointments are generally 15 minutes, if you would prefer a longer appointment please tell the receptionist when you call.

Acute Clinic

  • Te Ngae Medical Centre holds an acute clinic every day between the hours of 8.30am and 11.00am. The acute clinic caters for patients who are unable to see their Doctor on the day and require urgent medical attention.
  • The acute clinic is a very busy clinic and it may take a little while for one of our team to call you back.
  • The clinic is for single urgent problems only and patients are generally seen in the order that they are booked following a phone triage, however if someone is acutely unwell they may take priority.  We do not take walk in’s.
  • When the doctor calls you, it maybe that they can do a consult over the phone.  This method will generate a consult fee the same as a face to face consultation does.  Please ask the doctor if you are not sure about this.

Weekends, Statutory Holidays & After Hours

For urgent medical attention please contact  Lakes PrimeCare (07 348 1000) or Lakes DHB emergency department (07 348 1199).
