Health review and assessment
We have a recall system to help you to schedule when you are due for routine checks such as blood tests, smears, mammograms, immunisations and a wide range of services to assist with lifestyle changes such as weight loss, and smoking cessation.
If you are over 40 years of age and have not had a previous free heart check please call our nurses for more information about this service and to make an appointment.
We recommend cervical smears for all women from 20 years of age.
Our nurses performing cervical smears are qualified smear takers.
All of our nurses have current immunisation certificate. We provide all immunisation services such as routine immunisations for baby’s and children, influenza, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and Hepatitis B.
Cardiovascular risk assessment (CVR)
Cardiovascular disease (heart, stroke and blood vessel disease) is still the leading cause of death in New Zealand, accounting for 40% of deaths annually.
Diabetes Annual Review (DAR)
It is important for all people with diabetes to get an annual check up with your doctor or specialist (your doctor or specialist may recommend you have more regular check ups).
You may qualify for a free check through the Diabetes Care Improvement Plan or “LINC” Programme. Check with you doctor or practice nurse. It may be helpful to schedule your check in the month of your birthday each year as this is often a good way of remembering when it is due.
